For years, I thought the answer to financial freedom online was having more income streams.
More offers.
More ideas.
More platforms.
More opportunities.
I kept hearing:
“You need seven streams of income.”
And honestly?
I believed it.
So I spent years trying different things online:
- publishing
- digital products
- affiliate marketing
- courses
- speaking
- content creation
- coaching
Every time I discovered a new opportunity, I thought:
“Maybe this is the thing that will finally make everything click.”
But what I eventually realized is this:
The problem was never the number of income streams.
The problem was my focus.
I Was Always Starting Over
When I first started online back in 2014, I didn’t have:
- a mentor
- a roadmap
- a business framework
- a community of women doing what I wanted to do
I just had ambition and a deep knowing that I wanted freedom.
And while I’ve had jobs throughout my journey, I’ve officially been “job free” since 2021.
But between 2014 and 2021?
I started and stopped so many things.
I was constantly chasing the next opportunity before the current thing had time to fully grow.
And I know I’m not the only woman who’s done that.
There’s A Difference Between Being Busy And Building
One thing I had to get honest about was this:
Just because I was busy online did not mean I was building something sustainable.
That realization changed everything for me.
Because there’s a version of online business where:
- you consume endless content
- you keep learning new things
- you constantly pivot
- you keep starting over
And while it looks productive…
You’re actually scattered.
That’s where many women stay stuck.
Entrepreneurship Starts With You
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned over the years is that business is deeply connected to who you are becoming.
Your mindset matters.
Your discipline matters.
Your focus matters.
Your emotional stability matters.
Because entrepreneurship will constantly force you to evolve.
That’s why I believe building a soft life business is not just about income.
It’s about building a life and business that actually fit you.
What Happened When I Finally Focused On One Thing
Everything changed when I decided to stop dividing my energy in ten different directions.
For me, that one thing became affiliate marketing through a business ecosystem I genuinely believed in.
And instead of constantly pivoting, I committed.
I showed up consistently:
- creating YouTube videos
- sending emails
- learning the business
- refining my message
- building trust
Whether I had:
- or 1,000 views
I kept going.
And over time?
Things started compounding.
Focus Creates Momentum
When you focus deeply on one thing:
- your message gets clearer
- your skills improve faster
- your confidence grows
- your audience starts trusting you
- your systems become stronger
That’s something scattered energy can never fully create.
And honestly?
That season taught me more than any course ever could.
The Truth About Income Stacking
Now here’s the part many people misunderstand.
I’m no longer in a season where I only have one income stream.
I’m now in an income stacking season.
But the difference is:
I didn’t start stacking from chaos.
I started stacking from stability.
That’s important.
Because many women try to stack income streams before they’ve built a strong foundation first.
And that creates overwhelm.
What happened naturally for me was this:
- women started asking about my books
- they wanted to know how I publish
- they wanted access to my systems
- they became curious about my routines and workflows
So instead of chasing new opportunities…
New opportunities grew organically from the foundation I had already built.
That’s a completely different energy.
Why Beginners Should Start With One Income Stream
If you’re new to making money online, I really want you to hear me clearly:
You do not need to build five businesses right now.
You need:
- one focus
- one skill
- one platform
- one strategy
That’s it.
Everything works online:
- digital products
- books
- affiliate marketing
- YouTube
- blogs
- UGC
- email marketing
All of it works.
The question is:
What are you willing to focus on long enough for it to grow?
The Algorithms Will Always Distract You
One thing I’ve realized about the online space is this:
There will always be another opportunity.
Another strategy.
Another income stream.
Another “easy way” to make money online.
The internet will constantly try to pull your attention in new directions.
That’s why self-awareness matters so much.
You have to decide:
- what fits your personality
- what aligns with your life
- what kind of business you actually want
Not just what’s trending.
Give Yourself Permission To Grow
One thing I’m learning as an entrepreneur is that seasons change.
Sometimes you outgrow things.
Sometimes a business model that once fit you no longer feels aligned.
And that’s okay.
I’ve learned to stop forcing myself to stay in seasons that are complete.
Growth requires honesty.
Build The Foundation First
If I could give one piece of advice to women building online right now, it would be this:
Focus long enough for something to fully take root.
Don’t quit too early.
Don’t pivot too fast.
Don’t constantly restart.
Build something solid first.
Then stack from there.
That’s how you create:
- stability
- freedom
- flexibility
- peace
- and long-term income online
