If you’ve been in my community on Youtube or even right here on my blog for a while especially since late 2024 and all through 2025 — you already know something about me.
I love books.
But not just any books.
I love short books.
Some people call them mini books.
Some say short reads.
I call mine Mini-Her Books.
I don’t even remember where I got the phrase from. I just picked it up and ran with it.
And I’m sticking with it.
Why I Prefer Short Books (50 Pages or Less)
When I say short, I mean 50 pages or less.
Some of my recent books were:
-
36 pages
-
40 pages
-
Under 50 pages
And they are some of the easiest books I’ve written.
Why?
Because most of them started as video trainings.
That’s right.
No content goes to waste over here.
If I did a video training years ago, I can:
-
Update it
-
Transcribe it
-
Format it
-
Turn it into a short, focused book
Simple.
Bigger Books Feel Heavy
When it comes to longer books:
-
They feel heavier to write.
-
They feel heavier to read.
-
Most people don’t finish them.
There’s nothing wrong with long books. I have plenty.
But in this season of my life?
I want calm learning.
I want simple.
I want straight to the point.
Short books allow me to:
-
Teach one focused idea
-
Break subjects into chunks
-
Avoid cramming everything into one place
-
Publish faster
And yes — publishing faster matters.
My 2026 Publishing Strategy
I’m not gatekeeping.
Here’s what I’m doing in 2026:
1. Rapid Publishing (But With Intention)
Not publishing just to publish.
But building a brand of books.
There’s a difference.
Some people publish one random book and stop.
That’s not my strategy.
My strategy is:
-
Consistency
-
Volume
-
Focused topics
-
Series-style thinking
Because the key to making real income with books?
Multiple books.
2. Leveraging Amazon KDP
Amazon has an algorithm just like social media.
And I plan to leverage it.
I enroll many of my ebooks in KDP Select.
Why?
Because most of my readers prefer the ebook version.
With KDP Select:
-
Readers pay monthly for access to books
-
Authors get paid per page read
-
Income comes monthly
It’s not huge overnight money.
But it’s quiet money.
$50.
$100.
$200.
Deposited monthly.
That resonates with me.
3. Starting With Ebooks First
In 2026, I’m focusing heavily on ebooks first.
Why?
Because:
-
They’re faster to produce
-
They cost less to create
-
I can publish more consistently
I may later turn them into paperback.
But speed and simplicity come first.
Your Book Is Digital Real Estate
This is important.
The inside pages of your book?
That is real estate.
Many authors ignore this.
But I don’t.
Inside your book you should have:
-
A short bio
-
A way to contact you
-
A link to your email list
-
A freebie
-
Other books you’ve written
Every page has purpose.
Every book builds your ecosystem.
That’s long-term thinking.
Can You Really Make Money Publishing Books?
Yes.
But not if you treat it like a lottery ticket.
There are people who publish books for a living.
Not publishing for others.
Publishing their own books.
But here’s the truth:
You either:
-
Invest money (pay writers, designers, etc.)
-
Or invest time (roll up your sleeves and do it)
There’s no shortcut.
I’m doing a little of both.
But I’m definitely putting in the work.
Why This Feels Aligned For Me
I love:
-
Writing
-
Teaching in small chunks
-
Leveraging content I already have
-
Making income quietly
-
Letting things compound
Short books allow me to:
-
Stay creative
-
Stay consistent
-
Stay peaceful
I don’t want overwhelm.
I don’t want long, drawn-out projects.
I want focused impact.
And 50 pages or less?
That’s my sweet spot.
The Bigger Vision
This is part of my journey-preneur era.
I’m building out loud.
I’m sharing my strategy.
I’m showing you the process.
You really can make money:
-
Sharing your journey
-
Leveraging your skills
-
Turning content into assets
One video → one book.
One idea → one asset.
That’s the game.
Short books are not “less than.”
They’re focused.
They’re digestible.
They’re profitable when done consistently.
And in this season of my life?
They fit.
