Everybody online says the same thing.
You have to hustle.
You have to post every day.
You have to be everywhere.
And since I’ve been online since 2014, I’ve done a lot.
I’ve done publishing.
Digital products.
Multiple income streams.
Different business models.
Some of those things I still do today but I do them my way.
Quietly.
Choosing a Soft Life Business
If you’ve been around my Youtube Channel or even reading my blogs for any amount of time, you’ve probably heard me talk about soft life business and quiet business.
That’s not a trend for me.
That’s the season I’m in.
I’m more focused on my family.
On creating a home.
On building a life that feels good not loud.
And yes, we still need to make money.
But if I’m going to make money, I want to do things I actually enjoy.
Things I’m good at.
Things that don’t require me to perform or be “on” all the time.
That’s what I want to document now.
That’s what I want to share.
From Teacher to Builder of Longevity
For years, I’ve been known as a teacher especially in publishing.
To this day, I still get tagged when someone says they want to publish a book.
That title never really leaves you.
But now I’m in a different phase.
I’m building longevity.
I’ve built a six-figure publishing business before.
I made good money.
But it was noisy.
A lot of showing up.
A lot of managing.
A lot of being everything for everybody.
I don’t want that anymore.
That’s what I mean when I say noisy money.
There’s nothing wrong with big businesses or influencer life it’s just not for me.
And knowing what you don’t want is just as important as knowing what you do.
Shifting My Mindset Around Money
One of the biggest shifts I had to make was accepting that this season is about slow, steady, compounding income.
This isn’t quick money.
This isn’t overnight wins.
The income will come $1K months, $5K months but it’s built over time.
I had to be okay with that.
So I leaned back into things I already know work:
-
Writing short books
-
Leveraging Amazon KDP
-
Blogging and using affiliate links
-
Building SEO-based content
None of these are “get rich quick.”
But they are solid.
They respect your life.
Why Writing Is the Foundation Again
I’ve also gone back to blogging and writing consistently.
Writing has always been home for me.
Between blogs, books, and platforms like Medium, I’m leaning more into SEO-friendly spaces where content can work long after it’s published.
Search engine content matters again.
If you’re a writer this is your season.
We can still leverage AI to work faster, but not to replace our voice.
It helps us move quicker not disappear
Documenting Instead of Performing
My YouTube channel will always be important to me.
But now, the goal is different.
I’m documenting.
Sharing my process.
Showing what I’m doing even when it’s imperfect.
I want women to look at me and think:
“She’s doing it in a way that feels possible.”
Not loud.
Not overwhelming.
Just real.
We are in the era of the journey-preneur.
You can build income by sharing your journey.
You don’t need to be a guru.
You don’t need to have it all figured out.
You learn.
You apply.
You share.
That’s it.
Quiet Income Is Still Real Income
Behind-the-scenes income is still real money.
Digital products.
Amazon content.
Pinterest traffic.
Digital real estate.
Passive income streams.
It’s just built quietly.
And I love that.
I spent years performing.
Pretending to be the expert all the time.
Teaching so much that I forgot to build for myself.
Not anymore.
Now I’m choosing peace, simplicity, and alignment.
Building Out Loud — Gently
This is the energy I’m bringing into my business now.
Quiet digital income.
Simple tools.
Writing.
Sharing what I’m learning.
Letting the work compound slowly.
No pressure to perform.
No rush.
No noise.
Just me being honest about where I am and where I’m going.
If you’re here, you’re probably in a similar place.
So tell me in the comments:
Where are you in your journey right now?
What kind of income are you trying to build?
There are so many ways to make money online.
I just want to be a light and show what’s possible while I’m building too.
